Job summary

PMB Aluminium Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Process Engineer to study and optimize manufacturing process parameters, drive improvements, and reduce rejection while enhancing net process recovery.

The role focuses on efficiency, quality, and cost targets within a fully integrated aluminium production environment. You will work with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams, conducting data analysis, root-cause investigations, and implementing corrective actions to sustain continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical/Industrial/Material/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin to communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and improve manufacturing processes to meet targets for production, quality, cost and efficiency.
• Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze data and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance process performance.
• Establish and maintain process parameters, SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve process issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for recurring problems.
• Support new product introduction, process development, trials and ramp-up activities.
• Carry out process studies, time studies and capacity analysis to improve manpower and machine utilization.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in studying and analyzing manufacturing process parameters, and implementing project improvements. The objective is to enhance operational efficiency, reduce rejection, improve net process recovery.

Job Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes to achieve production, quality, cost, and efficiency targets.

Monitor production processes and identify issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Analyze production data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve process performance.

Establish and maintain process parameters, work instructions, SOPs, and process standards.

Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to resolve process-related issues.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for recurring production and quality problems.

Support new product introduction, process development, trials, and production ramp-up activities.

Conduct process studies, time studies, and capacity analysis to improve manpower, machine utilization, and production efficiency.

Evaluate and recommend improvements to equipment, tooling, materials, and production methods.

Ensure processes comply with company standards, quality requirements, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.

Support lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Prepare process reports, improvement proposals, and other relevant technical documentation.

Provide technical support and training to production personnel on process requirements and improvements.

Perform other duties and projects assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Fresh graduates are encourage to apply.

Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent.
