Job summary

ALUMAC INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned leader to head manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and top-quality outputs.

The role coordinates production planning, manpower allocation, and process improvements while supporting product development and regulatory compliance. You will act as the main liaison among production, sales, engineering, and customers for technical advice and quality assurance, guiding teams toward operational excellence and cost optimization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years in manufacturing operations; 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium extrusion processes.
• Experience in production process control, monitoring, and optimization.
• Knowledge of production planning, productivity, yield, and scrap control.
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of ISO requirements and quality control methods.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.

• Monitor and optimize machine and manpower utilization.
• Ensure finished product formulas, processes, and quality meet specs.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing on product issues.
• Collaborate with draughtsmen and engineers on new/modified products.
• Investigate and resolve product complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste and cost.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate production supervisors and operators.
• Ensure staff follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment across the department.

Job description

• Drive process enhancements to improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize cost.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate production supervisors and operators.
• Ensure all staff follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment across the department.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• At least 7-10 years working experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably aluminium extrusion.
• Strong knowledge of production process control, monitoring and optimization.
• Good knowledge of production planning, productivity, yield and scrap control.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances.
• Knowledge of quality control methods and ISO requirements.
• Good leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
