Luminer Consulting Services seeks a detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team in Semenyih (Bandar Rinching). The role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving productivity and product quality while reducing costs.
You will work with production, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams to solve technical problems and implement continuous improvements, including trials, data analysis, and reporting to drive process and product enhancements.
The company is a well-established alkyd resin manufacturer for industrial coating users. Currently are looking for a detail-oriented, professional Process Engineer to join us as part of the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving productivity and product quality, reducing operating costs, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working closely with production, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams to solve technical problems and implement continuous improvements.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, yield, quality, and efficiency.
Develop and maintain process parameters, operating procedures, work instructions, and process specifications.
Identify process bottlenecks, investigate root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean Manufacturing statistical/process data analysis.
Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve process and product-related issues.
Support troubleshooting of equipment and process problems and coordinate with the Maintenance team when required.
Conduct process trials, evaluations, and validation of new or modified processes.
Analyze production data and prepare reports, technical recommendations, and improvement proposals.
Support the introduction of new products, raw materials, equipment, and manufacturing technologies.
Assist in establishing process capability and improving process consistency.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
1–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, chemical, polymer, plastics, or related process industries is preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, process control, troubleshooting, and production improvement.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to interpret production data and identify process trends.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of engineering/process simulation or data-analysis tools is an advantage.
