KCJ ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. seeks a Safety & Emergency Response Officer in Johor Bahru to handle emergencies, provide first aid, and lead evacuations in line with ERP. You will inspect equipment and participate in drills to ensure readiness.

Responsibilities include coordinating with BOMBA and ambulance services, maintaining OSHA/DOSH compliance, and preparing safety documentation while supporting ongoing safety initiatives at the site.

Formación

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Certified Emergency Response Team (ERT) or BOFA/ CPR & AED training is an advantage.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and incident management.
• Physically fit and able to respond effectively during emergencies.
• Willing to participate in drills and standby duties.

• Assist in emergency preparedness planning and related safety duties.

Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, chemical spills, gas leaks, and other workplace emergencies.

Conduct emergency evacuation procedures and ensure employees are safely evacuated to designated assembly points.

Perform first aid, basic life support (BLS), and fire-fighting duties within the scope of training until emergency services arrive.

Inspect and maintain emergency equipment including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, spill kits, eyewash stations, and emergency response tools.

Participate in emergency drills, fire drills, and rescue simulations to ensure team readiness.

Assist in identifying workplace hazards and support emergency preparedness planning.

Report and document emergency incidents, near misses, and response activities.

Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994/2022, Fire Services Act, DOSH requirements, and company Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

Coordinate with external emergency agencies such as BOMBA, ambulance services, hospitals, and relevant authorities when required.

Perform other emergency preparedness and safety-related duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Safety, Engineering, or related field.

Certified Emergency Response Team (ERT), Basic Occupational First Aid (BOFA), CPR & AED, or Fire Warden training is an advantage.

Knowledge of emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and incident management.

Basic knowledge of OSHA 1994/2022, DOSH requirements, and Fire Safety regulations.

Physically fit and able to respond effectively during emergency situations.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Calm under pressure with good decision-making abilities.

Willing to participate in emergency drills and standby duties.

Able to work shifts or be on-call when required.

Experience in construction, engineering, or facility management is an advantage.
