Job summary

KCJ ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. seeks a site supervisor to oversee daily construction, engineering and maintenance activities at the project site. You will ensure works align with approved drawings, specifications and method statements, while monitoring progress to meet the project schedule.

You will supervise contractors and workers, coordinate with site management and consultants, and maintain comprehensive records. Strong reading of technical drawings and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of site supervision experience.
• Experience in construction, engineering, building, infrastructure or maintenance projects preferred.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Commitment to site safety and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction, engineering and maintenance activities at the project site.
• Ensure site works follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Monitor progress and ensure activities are completed according to the project schedule.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors and site workers.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Engineers, consultants and project team members.

• Attend site meetings and provide updates on work progress and site issues when required.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials and works are delivered according to schedule.
• Perform other site supervision duties assigned by management.

Job description

Supervise and monitor daily construction, engineering and maintenance activities at the project site.

Ensure site works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.

Monitor the progress of works and ensure activities are completed according to the project schedule.

Supervise contractors, subcontractors and workers to ensure proper execution of site activities.

Coordinate with Site Managers, Engineers, consultants and other project team members regarding site activities and requirements.

Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used at site.

Identify and report defects, technical issues and site problems to the relevant project team.

Conduct regular site inspections and ensure rectification works are properly carried out.

Monitor the availability and proper use of manpower, materials, tools and equipment at site.

Ensure workers comply with site safety procedures, PPE requirements and applicable safety regulations.

Maintain daily site records, work progress reports, inspection records and other relevant documentation.

Attend site meetings and provide updates on work progress and site issues when required.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials and works are delivered according to schedule.

Perform other site supervision duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in site supervision or a related position.

Experience in construction, engineering, building, infrastructure or maintenance projects is preferred.

Good knowledge of construction methods and site operations.

Able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and method statements.

Good understanding of site safety and quality control requirements.

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Able to supervise contractors, subcontractors and site workers effectively.

Responsible, disciplined, organised and able to work under pressure.

Able to work independently and as part of a project team.

Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.

Willing to work at project sites and travel when required.
