Job summary

KCJ Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily electrical maintenance and facility operations for safe, efficient performance.

You will monitor power distribution, switchboards, transformers, generators, UPS, lighting and related equipment, and coordinate with technicians and service providers. The role requires a diploma/degree in electrical engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or building services.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management or building services.
• Experience in building maintenance, electrical engineering services or facility operations is preferred.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications and equipment manuals.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and electrical equipment inspection.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with technicians, contractors and project teams.
• Willing to work at project sites and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily electrical maintenance and facility operations.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance works for electrical equipment, installations and building services.
• Monitor the operation and performance of electrical systems, including power distribution, switchboards, transformers, generators, UPS, lighting systems and other related equipment.
• Coordinate electrical maintenance activities with technicians, contractors, subcontractors and relevant service providers.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify electrical faults, defects and potential equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and coordinate necessary repair and rectification works.
• Ensure electrical maintenance works are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, technical specifications and safety requirements.
• Monitor maintenance schedules, electrical equipment performance, service records and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate testing, inspection and commissioning of electrical installations, systems and equipment when required.
• Monitor the availability of electrical spare parts, tools, materials and equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Prepare electrical maintenance reports, inspection records and recommendations for equipment improvement or replacement.
• Ensure contractors comply with contractual obligations, electrical standards and site safety procedures.
• Assist in planning and implementing electrical maintenance programmes to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Liaise with building management, consultants, contractors, utility providers and relevant authorities on electrical facility matters.
• Ensure electrical works comply with applicable Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, Electricity Supply Act 1990 and relevant electrical safety standards.
• Perform other electrical and facilities-related duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements
