Job summary

Marubun Arrow (M) Sdn Bhd, a Japan–USA joint venture and a leading distributor of electronic components, invites motivated individuals in Penang to apply and join our expanding team. Responsibilities include purchasing assigned product lines, supply and demand analysis, PO backlog management, and coordinating with suppliers, warehouse and forwarders to ensure on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing role within the electronic distribution/supplier industry.
• Knowledge of semiconductor products, material planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Familiar with Oracle system and Microsoft Excel.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, follow-up, and negotiation skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients).

Responsibilities

• Purchase assigned line of products.
• Supply and demand analysis.
• PO backlog management, schedule checking, reschedules and cancellations.
• Handle urgent and drop shipment, follow up supplier on–time delivery.
• Inventory management, supplier stock rotation and goods return.
• Communication among internal departments, warehouse and forwarders.
• Discrepancy follow-up with supplier, CS, Sales and PDC.
