Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN MINDE GROUP SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a Buyer/Purchaser to join an established electronics manufacturing/EMS environment. You will manage procurement, review MRP, and coordinate with suppliers to meet production schedules.

The ideal candidate has hands-on purchasing experience, strong negotiation skills, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. EMS/electronics experience is preferred, with the ability to collaborate across Planning, Production and Warehouse.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Procurement or related fields.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates from EMS, PCBA, electronics, semiconductor, precision or related manufacturing industries preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRP, material planning, inventory and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and components to meet production demand.
• Review MRP and place purchase orders to support production schedules.
• Oversee supplier commitments on delivery, pricing, lead times and availability.
• Expedite critical materials to avoid production disruptions.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, constraints, and delays.
• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Warehouse and other teams to ensure material readiness.
• Support inventory management and drive reductions in excess/obsolete stock.
• Participate in cost-saving, alternative sourcing and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems.
