Arrow Electronics, Inc. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Procurement/Materials Specialist to oversee ERP-based purchasing and supplier coordination.

You will handle both EDI and manual PO entry, backlogs, VMI buffers, and invoice receipts while ensuring on-time deliveries and accurate reconciliation. Applicants should be strong problem-solvers with cross-functional collaboration skills, fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.

What You'll Be Doing

1. All tasks to be carried out in a quality manner, consistent with the Company vision and values. Manage both EDI and manual purchase order entry.
2. Re-plan and manage supplier backlog in line with demands and supplier agreements: confirmation, reschedule, cancellation and reconciliation.
3. Manage VMI Buffer Min and Max level.
4. Communicate with the Suppliers regarding purchase order backlog, shipping and tracking information: track and prioritize urgent shipments.
5. Be accountable for receipts from the suppliers and resolution of shipping discrepancies.
6. Ensure correct receipt of supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies.
7. Monitor supplier on-time delivery.
8. Manage responsible Manufactory inventory level.
9. Manage Supplier non-conformity-Receiving.
10. Occasionally participate in meetings with suppliers as required.
11. Support New suppliers implementation in Hub program.

What We Are Looking For

• Has experience working in ERP systems (Oracle would be and advantage) and preferably has experience of Global purchasing in a commodity/fast paced environment.
• Great problem solver to ensure issues are addressed short term as well as long term to improve service levels.
• Organized, methodical with attention to details and accuracy.
• High level of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Great team player, good communication skills suitable for both internal and external communities.
• Willing to work in a challenging and multicultural environment.
• Knows how to achieve results through influencing others and understands the challenges of cross functional working.
• Ability to respond rapidly and professionally to the demand of a high pressure commercial environment.
• Willing to work in a challenging and multicultural environment.
• English mandatory both verbal and written. Mandarin speaking preferred.
