Job summary

Foresight Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. (FAP) is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to drive automation and manufacturing excellence. You will support NPI, transfer projects, and work on machine modules, electrical wiring, and system integration.

The role requires PLC and robot programming, electrical schematics, and strong problem-solving skills to enhance production equipment, ensure safety, and improve throughput. Opportunity to lead automation initiatives in Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or Control System Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, machine building, or manufacturing equipment.
• Proven ability to design control systems and prepare electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience programming PLCs and HMI, and robot programming (industrial robots).
• Knowledge of robotics, servo systems, industrial networks, and automation technologies is preferred.
• UL requirements knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer projects into production.
• Participate in machine module assembly, electrical wiring, and system integration activities.
• Design control systems and prepare electrical schematics and drawings.
• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs and industrial robots.
• Support machine commissioning, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
• Implement and integrate automation systems, robotics, sensors, servo drives, and motion control solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, control system, and automation-related issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Manufacturing teams on machine development and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, robotics, and smart manufacturing technologies.

Position Summary: Electromechanical Engineer

This position is responsible for supporting new product transfer and manufacturing automation initiatives through the assembly, integration, programming, commissioning, and optimization of electromechanical equipment and systems. This role involves machine module assembly, electrical wiring and integration, PLC and robot programming, and the implementation of automated manufacturing solutions. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to develop, troubleshoot, and enhance production equipment, ensuring reliable performance, operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. The position also drives continuous improvement by leveraging automation and robotics technologies to increase productivity and support advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Knowledge of UL requirements will be an added advantage.
