Are you a highly driven and technically adapt Automation Engineer who can design and deliver cost-effective, high-quality, and ergonomic automation solutions from concept to full machine completion - ensuring optimal performance and customer value while overseeing production processes, maintaining excellence in machine wiring and testing, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and serving as a key liaison across Distribution, Project, Purchasing, Production, and Service teams?
Design detailed electrical circuits and justify designs using calculations and fundamental engineering principles.
Select and size appropriate electrical components to meet project requirements, supported by engineering calculations and documentation.
Ensure electrical diagrams and Bills of Materials (BOMs) are completed within the scheduled timeframe and are always accurate and up to date.
Implement and maintain standardized control system architectures and PLC platforms
Prepare machine programming, control systems, safety programs, and HMI programs based on project specifications.
Conduct machine startup, program testing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning on the production floor as per project timelines.
Provide on-site support for machine installation and commissioning when required.
Update and compile electrical diagrams and information into PLM, ensuring machine manuals are revised post-FAT.
Prepare installation guides for any outstanding electrical and automation work after FAT.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for machine designs.
Provide technical support to the Production team for engineering issues and assist the Service team in troubleshooting customer concerns.
Contribute to the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of an electrical design and standard program database for future projects.
Engage in process improvement initiatives that drive business excellence through cross-functional collaboration.
Extensive experience in developing machine electrical panels and control systems from concept to full machine completion, utilizing engineering calculations.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in original equipment manufacturing (OEM) or maintenance.
Strong knowledge of electrical circuit design, industry standards, design techniques, procedures, simulations, and standard component selection.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and process flow charts.
Hand-on experience in PLC programming, particularly with Beckhoff TwinCAT (experience with Siemens and AB is a plus), including function blocks and relevant methodologies.
Proficient in using ePLAN P8.
Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and basic knowledge of ERP software for daily operations.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
