Job summary

Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team. You will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while driving process improvements and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to align goals and optimize performance. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering with 5+ years in engineering and 1–3 years in a managerial capacity; strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with 1–3 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Strong leadership, team building, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in engineering software/tools relevant to the field (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Good project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers (design, development, or production-based).
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.

• Review and approve technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering change requests.

• Recruit, train, and evaluate engineering staff performance.
