Job summary

Hume Cement Sdn Bhd in Perak is seeking a proactive Electrical Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day plant operations. You will diagnose electrical issues, carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on lighting and electrical systems, and assist the supervisor in daily activities.

You will work with contractors, monitor safety, and manage work orders while upholding cement-industry safety standards and efficient maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of electrical maintenance experience (cement or mineral industries a plus).
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations in cement manufacturing.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities for prompt electrical issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and health with zero LTI at all times.
• Carry out corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance related to electrical systems and lighting.
• Assist supervisor in daily operations and monitor work orders.
• Monitor and coordinate with contractors for maintenance work including Working at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space.
• Diagnose electrical problems and troubleshoot to identify component or system issues.
• 5S adherence and participation in quality movements.

• To monitor and attend to contractors for maintenance work related to Working at Height, Hot Work and Confine Space.
• To carry out any other duties as directed by the Company Management.
• To diagnose electrical problems and troubleshoot to identify electrical component or system issue.

Organisational (Organisational Responsibilities):

• To promote safety and healthy working practices.
• To involve with teammates in small group activities and company’s quality movement.
• To execute other functions as and when required by the immediate superior.
• Report to the Electrical Executive – Project & Lighting

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Have minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in electrical maintenance (knowledge in cement or mineral industries is an added advantages).
• Good knowledge of electrical system and equipment.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the cement manufacturing industry.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying and addressing electrical issues promptly.
