Job summary

Durianê is seeking an Electrical Engineer with Power System Study (PSS) experience for its Puchong, Selangor operations. The role focuses on learning through on-the-job training across HV/MV/LV systems, renewable energy interfaces, protection coordination, and industrial research.

You will model electrical networks, perform simulations, and prepare feasibility studies while engaging with multidiscipline engineers and professionals in a dynamic consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised by Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Fresh graduate engineers are encouraged to apply.
• Hardworking and willing to learn; strong computer literacy in Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform data acquisition, confirmation and verification with stakeholders before system modelling.
• Model HV/MV/LV electrical systems using ETAP/PSSE/SKM/DIGSILENT.
• Run system simulations and analyses: load flow, short circuit, power quality and protection coordination.
• Prepare PSS reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Job description

Electrical Engineer with Power System Study (PSS) Experience (Puchong, Selangor)

Electrical Engineer with Power System Study experience.

As a PSS Electrical Engineer, you are expected to learn the following through on-the-job training:

• 275kV / 132kV / 33kV / 11kV / LV Electrical System in accordance to MS, IEC and other related standards.
• Renewable Energy Power Generation System such as Large Scale Solar (LSS), Biogas, Biomass, Hydro Power, Cogeneration etc.
• Others Electrical system :- Overcurrent Design, Earth fault protection Design, Cable Sizing, Load Sizing, Load Flow, Arc Flash etc.
• Mastering software skills such as ETAP, PSSE, SKM, DIGSILENT, CAD, lighting simulation etc.
• Exposure to physical construction site.
• Meeting up various professional and understand multidiscipline role.
• Conducting Industrial research such as Industrial Product specification comparison, feasibility studies etc.
• Charting your route to Professional Engineer (Ir. Status)

What you do?

• Perform Data Acquisition, Confirmation and Verification with stakeholder prior to system modelling.
• Modelling of HV/MV/LV electrical system using softwares (ETAP/PSSE/SKM/DIGSILENT).
• Perform system simulation and analysis such as load flow, short circuit, power quality, protection coordination, arc flash etc.
• Preparation of PSS report and presentation.
• You will be assigned to facilitate projects as on-job training.
• You will be guided to conduct Engineering Feasibility Study
• You are expected to meet multidiscipline Engineers and other professional.
• You are required to conduct industrial research to keep yourself update with latest technologies.
• Undergo career guidance by company’s directors and attend networking session with various professional institutions/associations and providing a clear and structured training towards Professional Engineering Status.

Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical) recognised by Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Fresh graduate engineers are encouraged to apply.

• Required skills: ETAP, PSSE, SKM, DIGSILENT, Cad Software, Microsoft Word & Excel (Computer literate)
• Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia
