We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our project team . The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision and execution of electrical works, ensuring that all installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards and safety requirements.
Coordinate and supervise the installation of electrical systems throughout the semiconductor construction project.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements and technical submissions.
Coordinate electrical works with Civil & Structural, Mechanical, HVAC, Cleanroom, Process Utility and other project disciplines.
Ensure electrical installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
Monitor and supervise installation of LV/MV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, small power, cable containment, earthing and lightning protection systems.
Coordinate installation of switchboards, distribution boards, transformers, generators, UPS and other electrical equipment where applicable.
Monitor cable pulling, cable termination, containment installation and electrical equipment installation.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and clients on electrical-related technical and site matters.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality and compliance of electrical works.
Identify and resolve electrical coordination issues, clashes and site constraints in collaboration with relevant disciplines.
Assist in reviewing and coordinating MEP and electrical interfaces, particularly in high-density and critical semiconductor facility areas.
Monitor the testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
Witness and coordinate electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance and functional testing, as applicable.
Ensure all testing and commissioning records are properly prepared and maintained.
Assist in preparing inspection requests, test reports, as-built drawings, O&M documentation and other project records.
Monitor project progress and ensure electrical works are completed according to the approved project schedule.
Ensure electrical works comply with relevant Malaysian standards, Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements, project specifications and safety requirements.
Assist in identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
Attend project coordination meetings, site meetings and technical discussions as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in construction projects.
Experience in semiconductor, data centre, industrial, cleanroom, manufacturing or high-tech facility projects will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection and electrical equipment.
Familiarity with LV/MV systems, transformers, generators, UPS and switchgear will be an advantage.
Good understanding of MEP coordination and construction site activities.
Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
Familiar with relevant Malaysian electrical standards, regulations and Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements.
Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an added advantage.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and effectively coordinate with consultants, contractors and other project disciplines.
Willing to work at the project site and work extended hours when required.
