AZAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to plan, coordinate and supervise electrical installation works at construction sites in Malaysia.
You will review drawings, ensure compliance with standards, and liaise with project managers, consultants and subcontractors to deliver projects safely and on schedule. Proactive problem-solving and teamwork are essential. Familiarity with electrical systems, safety, quality, and documentation will support successful project delivery.
Plan, coordinate and supervise electrical installation works at construction sites.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Ensure electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, standards and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, consultants, subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor site progress, quality, materials, manpower and work schedules.
Conduct site inspections and identify any technical issues, defects or non-compliance.
Prepare and review technical documents, method statements, inspection requests, reports and other project documentation.
Assist in preparing electrical material submissions, shop drawings and as-built drawings.
Monitor testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
Ensure all electrical works comply with safety, quality, and project requirements.
Attend site meetings and provide technical updates on electrical works.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors regarding electrical materials, equipment and technical matters.
Monitor project costs and assist in ensuring electrical works are completed within the approved budget.
Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained throughout the project.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferably 1–3 years of experience in electrical engineering, construction or related industry.
Knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning and construction practices.
Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents.
Familiar with electrical systems, equipment and construction standards.
Good understanding of safety, quality and site requirements.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Willing to work at construction sites and travel when required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Must be responsible, proactive and able to work under pressure.
Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) / Graduate Engineer status is an advantage.
