Job summary

Zhongshi Chemical Engineering Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior QAQC Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to develop, implement, and review project QA/QC plans, inspection plans, and method statements for M&E works. You will inspect installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes, while managing NCRs and CAPA to drive quality on site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review PQP, ITPs, method statements, and inspection checklists for M&E works.
• Conduct inspections and ensure M&E installations comply with drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Manage NCRs, CAPA, and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams on QA/QC activities.
• Review and verify material inspections, mock-ups, testing and commissioning activities, and quality docs.
• Monitor site quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC documentation for project handover.

Develop, implement, and review Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and inspection checklists for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.

Conduct inspections and ensure all M&E installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.

Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams on QA/QC activities, inspections, testing, and approvals.

Review and verify material inspections, mock-up inspections, testing and commissioning (T&C) activities, and quality documentation.

Monitor site quality performance and ensure all M&E works are executed in compliance with project quality requirements.

Prepare, maintain, and submit QA/QC documentation, including inspection records, test reports, material approvals, and as-built quality records.

Ensure all quality documentation is properly compiled and completed for project handover to the client.

Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for industrial, commercial, or construction projects.

Experience in semiconductor, factory, or industrial construction projects will be an added advantage.

Experience in testing & commissioning (T&C) activities is preferred.

Able to join immediately or within short notice is preferred.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, material inspections, and quality documentation for M&E works.

Familiar with international and local standards, codes, and regulations related to Mechanical & Electrical installations.

Experience in managing NCRs, corrective actions, and quality improvement processes.

Good understanding of testing & commissioning (T&C) procedures for M&E systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Able to work independently in a fast-paced, site-based environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM (Revit MEP) will be an added advantage.

Good command of English, both written and spoken.
