Job summary

IAQ ENERGY FACILITY MANAGEMENT SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to lead design and calculations across projects.

You will assist in tender planning, scheduling, budgeting, and prepare technical reports and proposals while ensuring design delivery on schedule. The role requires 7+ years in design/construction, strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines on technical submissions and site deployments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 7 years working experience in the design/construction industry.
• Able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Highly motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize to meet strict deadlines.
• Able to operate AutoCAD software, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and calculations.
• Assist in tender planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and proposals.
• Ensure design is delivered in as per schedule.
• Responsible to deliver committed deliverables at each design stage.
• Prepare tender scope of work, specification and BOQ.
• Guide CAD designer to produce drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on design and other deliveries.
• Review and approve technical submissions from contractors.
• Review and approve work method statements submitted by contractors.
• Provide technical support to quality control and construction teams.
• Sign off testing and commissioning forms and results.
• Verify all scope of works are completed.

Person in charge for designated disciplines in design and technical aspects;

Strong knowledgeincommercial/industrialelectrical systems;

Experience in design for both electrical generation and distributionsystemfor high,mediumand low voltage;

Experience in lightning protection and earthing systems;

Engineering Stage

Lead engineering design and calculations;

Assistin tender planning, scheduling, and budgeting;

Prepare technical reports,presentationand proposals;

Ensure design is delivered in as per schedule;

Responsibleto delivercommitted deliverables at each design stage;

Prepare tender scope of work,specificationand BOQ;

Guide CADdesignerto produce drawings;

Coordinate with other disciplines on design and other deliveries.

Procurement Stage

Response to technical queries from bidders;

Chair technical clarification session;

Evaluate technical submission from bidders and ensure bidders arecomplywith both technical and scope of works;

Construction Stage

Asist EHS department in site safety supervision;

Managerof workpackage;

Technical issues;

Initiate any design and scope of work change;

Initiate technicalsubmissiontoclient;

Review and approve technicalsubmissionfrom contractors;

Review and approve work method statementsubmittedby contractors. SeeksEHSdepartment’s adviceinsafety aspects;

Initiate RFI to engineering manager,acknowledgeby project manager;

Leader in testing of commissioning for respectivediscipline,assistedby quality controller in documentationworks;

Provide support tocontractor resolving technical issues;

Construction issues;

Providetechnical advice to construction teams;

Advice and update construction team in scope ofworksand any change in scope ofworks;

Commercial issues;

Liaison with commercial departmentincost relatedissues;

Quality issues;

Provide technical support toqualitycontrol team in executingqualitycontrol plan. Provide technicalspecification, inspection test planformsand checklist to qualitycontroller.

Project Closure

Sign off testing and commissioning forms and result;

Verifyallscopeofworksare completed;

Assistquality controller in handover documentation compilation;

Review and approve operating and maintenance manualsubmittedby contractors.

Requirements: -
