Job summary

KLK OLEO in Malaysia is seeking an operator for COGEN & HRSG, steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, air compressors, and demin/soft water plants with cooling towers. You will sample and test water quality, monitor readings, and take prompt action when faults occur. Requirements: Min SPM with BM/English credits; Mathematics and Science for fresh graduates.

Those with no BM/English credits need 1–3 years in the related field. Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or Boilerman Grade 1/2 are advantages.

Qualifications

• Operate COGEN and HRSG systems and associated steam boilers.
• Monitor and operate thermal oil heaters, air compressors, and water treatment plants.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform minor repairs, recording data and actions.

Responsibilities

• Operate COGEN & HRSG systems, steam boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and address abnormal furnace/plant conditions; perform minor repairs.
• Monitor demineralized/soft water plant and cooling towers, recording operating data.

Job description

To Operate COGEN & HRSG; Steam boilers; thermal oil heaters; Air Compressors; Demin & Soft water plant and cooling towers.

To collect water sample to test and monitor water quality as per scheduled. To take necessary action if found any water quality issues.

To trouble-shoot and highlight to superior immediately if found any abnormality on firing and other related problems on COGEN & HRSG; Steam boilers & Thermal Oil Heaters. Able to perform minor repair and service.

To trouble–shoot DI & soft water plant water quality problem if found. And able to carry out minor valve replacement and minor repairs.

To trouble-shoot air compressor & air drier breakdown problems and able to carry out minor service and repair.

To trouble shoot cooling towers water quality problems.

To understand the necessary and able to record utility equipment operating condition data.

Upkeep and ensure all utilities equipment in safe and good running condition

Requirements :

Min SPM with credit in BM/ English; Mathematics and Science for fresh.

Those SPM graduates without credits in BM/ English; Mathematics and Science, min 1 - 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field.

Certificate / Diploma in Engineering / equivalent will be advantages

Certificate in Boilerman Grade 1 / Grade 2
