Berjaya Corporation in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced EHS Manager / Fire Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs in our automotive manufacturing site.

Responsible for managing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and fire safety programs to maintain a safe, compliant, and sustainable automotive manufacturing environment. The role covers safety management systems, fire protection, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement EHS management systems, safety programs, and fire protection initiatives.
Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
Ensure compliance with DOSH/OSHA, environmental regulations, and company requirements.
Manage fire protection systems, emergency response procedures, and regular fire drills.
Develop and deliver EHS training and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation.
Monitor environmental, health, and safety performance and drive corrective actions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety and environmental performance.
Liaise with government authorities, auditors, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate EHS, fire safety, inspection, and compliance records.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in EHS, occupational safety, or fire safety, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire protection, and environmental management.
Familiar with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, DOSH/OSHA, and manufacturing safety requirements.
SHO certification or relevant EHS/fire safety certifications is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
