Job summary

Nexustest Technology in Penang seeks an experienced EHS Officer to ensure a safe and compliant manufacturing workplace. You will drive risk management, safety audits, and training, reporting to HQ in China. Strong knowledge of OSHA 45001:2018 and DOSH Green Book is required.

The role requires Mandarin proficiency to liaise with China, and a minimum of 3–5 years in EHS within manufacturing. Join a team dedicated to continuous safety improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters in manufacturing.
• Certified Safety & Health Officer with a valid Green Book (DOSH) is required.
• Familiar with OSHA 45001:2018 standards.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Mandarin as need to liaise with HQ in China.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular risk assessments; develop and implement risk prevention measures.
• Formulate audit plans; conduct safety audits and address hazards.
• Organize and run occupational safety and health training programs.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans; conduct drills.
• Supervise the implementation of safety measures at the workplace.
• Ensure safety equipment is in good condition and used properly.
• Assist in accident investigations and propose preventive measures.
• Ensure safe operations during audits by external authorities; resolve hazards.
• Provide regular safety reports to management on inspections and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• 1. Familiarize and understand the and other relevant occupational safety and health laws and standards, ensure that all activities at the workplace comply with regulations.
• 2. Conduct regular risk assessments of the workplace to identify factors that may pose threats to employee health and safety, develop and implement risk prevention measures and safety improvement plans.
• 3. Formulate audit plan according to risk management, conduct safety audit and solve all hazards during safety audit.
• 4. Organize and implement occupational safety and health training programs for employees.
• 5. Formulate and maintain Emergency Response Plans and regularly conduct emergency drills to ensure all employees know how to act in emergencies.
• 6. Supervise the implementation and maintenance of safety and health measures at the workplace.
• 7. Ensure that all safety equipment and protective gear are in good condition and that employees use them correctly.
• 8. Participate in the investigation of any accidents or near-miss incidents that occur at the workplace, analyze the causes of accidents and propose preventive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
• 9. Ensure no hazard occurs at workplace during audit by external safety auditor or regulatory authority, solve all hazards.
• 10. Provide regular safety reports to management, summarizing inspection findings, hazard rectifications, and overall safety performance.

Job Requirements:
