Job summary

Berjaya Corporation in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced EHS Manager / Fire Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs in our automotive manufacturing site.

You will develop and implement EHS management systems, conduct risk assessments, manage fire protection and emergency procedures, deliver training, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with DOSH/OSHA and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in EHS or fire safety, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire protection and environmental management.
• Familiar with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, DOSH/OSHA and manufacturing safety requirements.
• SHO certification or relevant EHS/fire safety certifications preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS management systems, safety programs, and fire protection initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH/OSHA, environmental regulations, and company requirements.
• Manage fire protection systems, emergency response procedures, and regular fire drills.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation.
• Monitor environmental, health, and safety performance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety and environmental performance.
• Liaise with government authorities, auditors, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate EHS, fire safety, inspection, and compliance records.
