Job summary

Randstad is seeking an proactive EHS Executive in Johor Bahru to elevate workplace safety and environmental excellence across a high-tech manufacturing plant.

The role focuses on developing and enforcing HSE frameworks, maintaining ISO 14001/45001 systems, and driving regulatory compliance with strong CAPA and training programs. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in manufacturing EHS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or environmental field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of local EHS laws (OSHA, EQA).
• CePSWaM certification preferred; DOSH SSS/ SHO is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and enforce site-wide HSE frameworks, fire protocols, chemical safety, and security policies.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems and support internal audits and safety training.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and CAPA programs to optimize safety.
• Ensure PPE adherence and hazard controls across production lines.
• Oversee site security protocols and lead emergency preparedness and response.

the job

• Formulate and enforce site-wide HSE frameworks, fire protocols, chemical safety, and security policies in line with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, facilitating internal compliance audits, process updates, and employee safety training modules.
• Perform routine facility risk evaluations, hazard assessments, and safety inspections to execute proactive corrective action plans (CAPA).
• Champion operational safety standards across production lines, ensuring full adherence to PPE requirements and hazard controls.
• Direct physical security protocols, conduct site risk reviews, and lead facility emergency preparedness and response strategies.

the experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience driving EHS implementation, risk management, and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing facility.
• Strong working knowledge of local EHS legislation (OSHA, EQA) and management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• CePSWaM (Scheduled Waste Management) certification is strongly preferred; DOSH registration/certification as a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) or Safety & Health Officer (SHO) is an added advantage.
