Jora Malaysia is seeking an EHS professional to support the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety management system and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Responsibilities include document control, audits, training, incident investigations, risk assessments, and liaison with regulators to drive continuous EHS improvement across the site.

Responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management system and ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Prepares/ maintains/ updates company EHS documents, such as Policy, Procedure, WI, or other documents required by regulation/ international standards.
2. Updates and publishes regular EHS report on timely basis.
3. Determines training required in accordance to EHS requirements.
4. Provides EHS induction trainings, guidelines or advices to improve EHS management systems and control processes.
5. Conducts communication and briefing for EHS issues/ topics.
6. Plans and coordinates factory safety inspection with internal team or external regulators.
7. Plans and coordinates EHS related assessment (noise, pollution, health) with external service provider.
8. Plans and coordinates EHS and ERT team meetings and publishes meeting minutes.
9. Manages the execution of EHS programs to ensure site complies with all EHS requirements.
10. Leads risk assessments for EHS hazards across the site ensuring actions taken to mitigate risks.
11. Coordinates the investigation of accidents and incidents, and follow up corrective actions/ improvement activities with related departments.
12. Performs internal audit and support external audit as required by EHS management systems.
13. Monitors and regularly updates EHS key performances indicators plant-wide.
14. Performs EHS Accidents and Incidents trend analysis.
15. Identifies weaknesses and suggests improvement activities in order to achieve EHS performances.
16. Performs evaluation and monitoring on compliance to regulations and international standards.
17. Escalate EHS non-compliances and proposes relevant solutions to management.
18. Submits reports to Environmental Agency and Safety Authorities as appropriate.
19. Responsible to understand and comply to related Environmental Management System and Occupational Safety and Health Management System requirements.
20.Cooperate with employer with regard to environmental, safety and health at workplace.
Job Requirements / Qualification
Certification: Preferably possess CePSWaM certification and OSH-C certification.
Education level: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Science or related field.
Capability: Good analytical, planning, organizing, coordination and execution skills. Proactive, responsible and result-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and priority. Able to conduct risk assessments, identify EHS risks, manage multiple tasks and follow up on corrective actions effectively. Able to work independently and collaborate with different departments, and handle challenging situations constructively.
Skills: EHS risk assessment and hazard identification, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 requirements and auditing, environmental and OSH legal compliance, accident and incident investigation, good communication and presentation skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, report writing and documentation, Microsoft Office and basic data analysis.
