Job summary

Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd in Johor seeks a Production Engineer to optimize edible oil refining and soap making processes. You will lead production operations, supervise process improvements, and ensure adherence to food safety standards.

The role involves data analysis, SOP maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and QA teams. You will coach team members, manage safety and quality reporting, and support ad‑hoc assignments to sustain efficient production and compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing environment (palm oil) preferred.
• Training on ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000 and MSPO/RSPO is desirable.
• Proven leadership, analytical and communication skills, and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data to support process improvements.
• Establish and maintain SOPs and work instructions for quality and food safety.
• Perform data and statistical analysis to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to processes, equipment or materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to implement new processes and technologies.
• Ensure procedures meet quality, food safety standards (ISO, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
• Train and mentor team members on new processes and techniques.
• Participate in ad‑hoc assignments as required by management.
