Job summary

NSK Grocer (KL) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Draughtsman to prepare detailed 2D/Shop drawings for store developments, renovations and refurbishments in KL. You will work with the Project Manager and Interior Designer to translate concepts into construction drawings and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Drafting or related field, and at least 2 years of drafting experience in interior fit-out or retail projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in interior fit-out, retail, commercial, or construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Good understanding of construction methods, building materials, and detailing.
• Ability to interpret architectural, M&E, and structural drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good technical and spatial visualization skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
• Produce layout plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and construction details.
• Update drawings based on site measurements, design revisions, and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and issued according to project timelines.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Interior Designer to translate design concepts into construction drawings.
• Coordinate drawing submissions with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant internal departments.
• Review contractor shop drawings and ensure compliance with company requirements.
• Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before preparing drawings.
• Maintain proper filing and revision control of all project drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Job description

The Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and shop drawings for new store developments, renovations, and refurbishment projects. The role works closely with the Project Manager, Interior Designer, contractors, and consultants to ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, company standards, and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.

About you

Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
