Job summary

NSK Grocer (KL) Sdn Bhd is seeking a drafting professional to create detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting tools. You will produce furniture layouts and construction drawings, updating plans as site measurements change and coordinating with consultants, contractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing contractor drawings for compliance, attending coordination meetings, performing site measurements, and maintaining drawing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years drafting experience in interior fit-out, retail, commercial or construction.
• Experience in supermarket/retail/commercial projects is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of 3D software (SketchUp, Revit) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction methods and detailing.
• Ability to interpret architectural, M&E and structural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Job description

Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.

Produce furniture layout, presentation drawing and construction drawing.

Update drawings based on site measurements, design revisions, and project requirements.

Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and issued according to project timelines

Coordinate drawing submissions with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant internal departments.

Review contractor shop drawings and ensure compliance with company requirements.

Attend coordination meetings whenever required.

Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before preparing drawings.

Update drawings to reflect actual site conditions.

Assist in resolving drawing discrepancies and technical issues during construction.

Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Maintain proper filing and revision control of all project drawings.

Ensure drawings comply with local authority requirements, building regulations, and company standards.

Prepare drawing schedules and maintain project documentation.

Recommend improvements to drafting standards and documentation processes.

Maintain consistency in drawing templates, symbols, and drafting practices across all projects.

Job Requirement:

Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in interior fit-out, retail, commercial, or construction projects.

Experience in supermarket, retail, shopping mall, or commercial projects will be an added advantage.

Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).

Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D software is an advantage.

Good understanding of construction methods, building materials, and detailing.

Ability to interpret architectural, M&E, and structural drawings.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good technical and spatial visualization skills.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Good time management and ability to meet tight project deadlines.

Willing to travel to project sites when required.
