Job summary

NSK Grocer (KL) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Qualified Quantity Surveyor to prepare bill of quantities, develop cost estimates, and manage detailed price breakdowns for construction and retail projects. You will negotiate with vendors, verify invoices, and ensure documentation and progress claims are processed on time, collaborating with the project team to meet quality and budget goals.

Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 2 years' experience; own transport

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in Quantity Surveying preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities for construction projects based on drawings and specifications.
• Carry out detailed breakdown pricing in Excel.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors and issue Purchase Orders.
• Develop accurate cost estimation for construction.
• Verify subcontractor / supplier invoices.
• Ensure proper documentation and administrative processes (progress claims, project reports) are followed.
• Collaborate with project team to maintain quality within budget.
• Work with project team to resolve cost-related issues.

Job description

1. Prepare bill of quantities for construction projects based on the drawings and specifications.

2. Carries out the detailed breakdown pricing in the excel spreadsheet.

3. Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors and issue Purchase Order for confirmation.

4. Develop accurate cost estimation for construction.

5. To verify subcon / supplier invoice.

6. To ensure proper documentation and administrative / paperwork and approval processes such as progress claim, project report are followed.

7. Collaborate with project team to ensure that quality standards are maintained while adhering to budgetary constraints.

8. Work closely with project team to achieve project goals and resolve any cost-related issues.

Requirements

1. Possess a Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building / Construction Management or equivalent.

2. Preferably experienced in ID / construction project and retail related project management.

3. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

5. Good in negotiation, collaboration, organizational and time management skill.

6. Possess own transport.
