Job summary

GEOTECHNICAL ALLIANCE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Draftsman to support the Tender and Project teams with design documentation and coordination under pressure.

You will prepare tender stage, temporary stage, and permanent stage designs for piling/diaphragm wall and substructure works, estimate quantities for tender submissions, and update drawings as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experiences.
• Experience in creating 2D or 3D models of building elements and familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering design software.
• Ability to work independently yet coordinate with others and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess own transportation and be available for late shifts or weekends if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender, temporary, and permanent stage designs for piling/diaphragm wall and substructure works.
• Estimate quantities from design for tender submissions.
• Prepare and update amendments of drawings.
• Coordinate with drafting personnel to review drawings for accuracy and practicality.
• Design temporary deep excavation support systems and foundation designs (piling, diaphragm walls, slope stability).
• Provide technical support to the project team and participate in tender interviews and design coordination meetings.

Job description

We are looking for Draftsman to support the Tender and Project team on their daily activities. He/She must demonstrate the right attitude and strong work ethics, with the ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to evolving project priorities.

Job Responsibilities

Preparing tender stage, temporary stage, and permanent stage design for piling / diaphragm wall and substructure works.

To estimate the quantities from design for tender submission.

Prepare and update amendments of the drawings.

Liaise with draft person to prepare design and drawings, review details of drawings thereafter to ensure the accuracy and practicality of drawings produced.

Supporting project teams by designing temporary deep excavation support systems, foundation designs such as piling, diaphragm walls slope stability analysis.

To provide technical support to the Project team.

To attend the tender interview and design coordination meeting.

Requirements

Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experiences.

Experience in creating 2D or 3D models of building element and familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Engineering Design Software.

Ability to work independently yet co-ordinates and working seamlessly with the others. Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Possess own transportation and able to work on later and weekends if necessary.
