Job summary

B & L ENGINEERS SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced civil/structural engineer to execute detailed design for large and high-rise building projects, including computer modelling, analysis, and design in line with briefs and standards.

You will prepare design calculations and drawings for sewerage, water supply, earthworks, roads and drainage, and coordinate with developers, consultants and contractors to ensure timely delivery and budget compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience: minimum 5 years in civil/structural engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.
• Execute detailed design of civil and structural works including computer modelling, analysis and design of large and high-rise buildings.
• Prepare design calculations and drawings per design brief and codes/standards.
• Prepare design documentations for Authority submissions and tender calls.
• Attend technical and project meetings, coordinate with Developers and other Consults.
• Attend site meetings, coordinate with Contractor, supervise materials/workmanship quality at site.
• Deliver projects to required quality, timeline and budget.
• Produce detailed design of sewerage, water supply, earthworks, roads and drainage, and structure drawings.
• Complete all civil & structure design/drawings for submission/approval.
• Attend pre-consultation with authority for civil design works.

Job description

This position involves executing detailed design of civil and structural works, including computer modelling, analysis and design of large and high-rise building structures. You will prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with design briefs, applicable codes and standards, and produce detailed design of sewerage, water supply, earthworks, road and drainage.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings


• Execute detailed design of civil and structural works involving computer modelling, analysis and design of large and high-rise building structures


• Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance to design brief, applicable codes and standards


• Prepare design documentations for Authority submissions and calling of tender


• Attend technical and project meetings, coordinate with the Developers and other Consultants


• Attend site meetings, coordinate with Contractor and supervise the quality of materials and workmanship of civil and structural works at site

About you

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent


• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autocad, Orion, Etabs, StaadPro, Esteem, Prokon, Tedds


• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English


• Adaptable and quick learner


• Computer literacy is essential


• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with the team


• Ability to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision


• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills


• Resourceful, hardworking, positive working attitude and able to work independently
