Job description

This role involves ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant import/export documentation to prevent delays and penalties. You will prepare, review, and submit customs and shipping documents in accordance with applicable regulations, coordinate with internal teams, customers, shipping lines, and government authorities, and monitor and maintain proper documentation and customs clearance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant import/export documentation to prevent delays and penalties
• Prepare, review, and submit customs and shipping documents in accordance with applicable regulations
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers, shipping lines, and government authorities to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor and maintain proper documentation and customs clearance processes
• Identify and resolve documentation or clearance issues promptly
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide effective support to meet their operational requirements
• Monitor and improve documentation processes to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
• Support the team in handling multiple shipments and operational priorities within required timelines

About you

• Minimum SPM qualification; higher education in Logistics, Business, Shipping, or a related field is an added advantage
• 1–2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or import/export operations is preferred
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in import/export documentation, including K1, K2, K3, K8, ZB1, ZB2, and permit applications, will be an added advantage
• Experience with logistics and freight forwarding systems/platforms will be an added advantage
• Fast learner with a positive, proactive, and responsible attitude
• Good verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, authorities, and internal teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
