Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. - MEP Apartment is seeking a Document Controller to manage project documents, drawings, RFIs, and related records for complex MEP projects.

You will ensure proper logging, distribution, tracking, and archiving while maintaining version control and filing systems for construction and MEP workstreams. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to meet tight deadlines, support submissions and handovers, and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of document control experience in construction, MEP, or data center sectors.
• Familiarity with drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, and revision control processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management platforms such as ACC, Aconex, Procore, or SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documents, drawings, RFIs, method statements, material submissions, and correspondence in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure all incoming and outgoing documents are properly logged, distributed, tracked, and archived.
• Maintain document control registers, transmittals, revision logs, and filing systems for construction and MEP projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure timely submission and retrieval of documents.
• Monitor drawing revisions and ensure only the latest approved versions are distributed and used on-site.
• Support project teams with document submissions, approvals, handover documentation, and project close-out records.
• Review documents for completeness, formatting, and compliance with project document control standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of project information and records.
• Assist in compiling O&M manuals, as-built documentation, and final project deliverables.
• Ensure document management processes comply with company policies and project requirements.
