Job summary

SAM Malaysia is seeking a document control assistant to ensure procedures, WIs and drawings are properly managed and archived in a compliant EDMS environment.

You will maintain the master list, ensure timely retrieval and disposal of obsolete records, and support QA/QC with FAI documentation.

Candidates with SPM/STPM or Diploma in Engineering and English communication will fit as growing contributor in our aero/machining operations.

Qualifications

• SPM / STPM with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in similar capacity and industry.
• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent for fresh graduates.
• Able to understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documents are properly controlled, registered, filed, stored, and archived as per procedures.
• Update and maintain the Documents Issuance Master List for traceability.
• Ensure retrieval of active documents and disposal of obsolete ones.
• Manage and administer EDMS; liaise with IT on EDMS issues.
• Assist QA/QC Engineers with compiling FAI documentation.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by Superior.

Job description

Ensure documents (procedures, WIs, specification and drawings etc.) are properly controlled, registered, filed, stored, maintained, issuance, and archived as per approved procedures.

Update and maintain Documents Issuance Master List for effective traceability.

Ensure effective retrieval and disposal of obsolete documents.

Manage and administrate EDMS. Liaise with IT personnel pertaining technical issues on EDMS

Update and maintain quality record in Record Retention Room (Within Duration Period).

Disposition of Quality Record in accordance with approved procedure.

Ensure all active documents are up-to-date.

Ensure calibration reports and records and properly reviewed and maintained.

Assist QMS/QA Engineer in compiling of FAI documentation/package.

Perform any other tasks and duties as and when assigned by Superior.

Requirements :

SPM / STPM with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in similar capacity and industry.

For fresh graduate, minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.

Able to understand and communicate in English.
