Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad is seeking an experienced Treasury Corporate Sales professional to deliver FX, money market, and derivative solutions to corporate and FI clients in Malaysia. The role emphasizes client engagement, hedging advisory, cross-selling treasury products, and collaboration with internal and regional teams to grow the business.

• Minimum 10 years in Global Market/Treasury with PKMC.
• Strong understanding of FX, money markets and basic derivatives.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with corporate and FI clients to understand treasury needs and provide hedging solutions.
• Advise on hedging strategies and cross-sell treasury products across product partners.
• Quote and conclude deals (FX-Spot, Forward, Option, Money Market and Derivatives); support Japanese Sales when required.
• Collaborate with internal and regional teams to grow treasury business and deliver value-added solutions.
• Prepare treasury input for client presentations and related documents.

Job Description

Responsible for driving Treasury Corporate Sales activities, providing FX, money market, and derivative solutions to corporate and financial institution clients. The role focuses on client engagement, hedging advisory, cross-selling treasury products, and collaborating with internal and regional stakeholders to grow treasury business and delivery value-added financial solutions.

Quote and conclude deals (FX-Spot, Forward, Option, Money Market and Derivatives) for local corporate and FI clients. When necessary, to support Japanese Sales from time to time.

Conduct marketing activities i.e. Market Update with economist, meeting with clients for hedging advisory/treasury solutions to clients.

Coordinate and collaborate with product partners and when applicable, other SMBC branches, to cross sell bank's products.

To participate in projects or initiatives implemented by SMBC MY.

Provide treasury input for Treasury related documents and presentation for Relationship Managers and product partners to present to clients.

Initiatives to improve corporate and FI flow business.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 10 years in Global Market/Treasury with PKMC.

Good understanding of foreign exchange and basic derivatives products i.e. Interest Rates Swaps, and Cross Currency Swaps. Added advantage: good understanding of various financing structures with Treasury solutions potential.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to multitask between dealing markets and handling daily operational tasks.

Goal-driven, highly adaptable to fast paced and stressful environment.
