Job summary

Xinpal in Penang seeks an experienced Digital Design Engineer to drive end-to-end IP development for next-generation SoC products. You will architect and build digital IPs from scratch, collaborating with Architecture, DV, and Physical Design teams to meet performance, power, and timing goals.

The role requires a Master's degree (or Bachelor's with equivalent experience) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering and at least 2 years of hands-on Digital IC/RTL design

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Digital IC / RTL Design.
• Proven experience delivering digital IP from specification through verified RTL.
• Experience preferred with CPU architecture, cache coherency, and AMBA AXI/CHI/ACE protocols.
• Mandarin proficiency is preferred to liaise with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital IP/module development from concept, micro-architecture, RTL implementation, to SoC integration.
• Define hardware micro-architecture and develop functional specifications based on system requirements.
• Develop high-quality RTL, SDC timing constraints, and implement low-power designs using UPF.
• Collaborate with Architecture, DV, and Physical Design teams to meet PPA and timing targets.
