Job summary

dormakaba Malaysia is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive on-time delivery, improve product/process documentation, and lead changes in a lean environment. You will lead mold and fixtures development, manage suppliers, and collaborate with internal teams on DFM and new processes, with a focus on die casting and process optimization.

Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic and 3+ years of experience required; independent work style preferred.

Qualifications

3+ years in Engineering Manufacturing (Mechanical/Mechatronic).
Manufacturing and product development knowledge.
Design for manufacturability; mold/fixtures design; lean tools for process improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead mold and fixtures development, approve designs, manage suppliers and buy-off.
Lead ECO / Design Change / Change Application activities.
Improve die casting downtime and machine availability.
Troubleshoot die casting issues and implement corrective actions.
Manage new product and process projects with internal teams on DFM.
Utilize AIM and APQP tools.
Support startup and process development for new products or processes.
Lead SMED and poka-yoke implementation.
Collaborate with production teams in early phases of part, mold/fixtures and process development.
