Job summary

Malaysian Die-Casting Industries in Selangor is looking for a Diploma-holding engineer with 1–2 years in manufacturing to support CMM programming for casting and machining parts. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and proficiency in Excel is a plus. You will interpret mechanical drawings and contribute to process improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering required.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical mechanical drawings is an advantage.
• Excel proficiency and computer literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare advanced CMM programming for casting/machining parts.
• Prepare dimension identifications on drawings.
• Convert CAD data to CMM setups for measurement preparation (Windows base).
• Measure casting and machining parts; identify NG dimensions.
• Identify and re-measure NG dimensions and prepare CMM jig concepts.
• Provide NG feedback to Development Engineer and process owner for improvements.
• Check old vs new cavity part revisions.
• Convert Windows-based CMM programs to DOS-based.
• Perform non-CMM measurements and assist Production QA; training.
• Pursue continuous improvement in measuring methods.

Responsibility

Core Duty

• To prepare advance CMM programming for casting/machining parts
• To prepare dimension identification (ID) on drawing
• To receive and convert CAD data to CMM for measuring preparation (windows only) for hog-outs, casting part and high complexity parts
• To measure casting and machining parts
• To identify and re-measure for NG dimensions
• To identify and prepare CMM jigs concept design
• To feedback NG dimensions to Development Engineer and process owner for process improvement
• To check/compare old and new revision - old new cavity parts
• To convert windows base CMM program to DOS base

Secondary Duty

• To perform non - CMM measurement
• To conduct training and handover CMM programs to Production QA team
• To continuous improvement via new measuring method to reduce tuning iteration
