Job summary

Tonasco invites applications for a CMM Inspector role in Malaysia. You will operate CMM equipment, interpret GD&T and engineering drawings, and ensure accurate inspections for FAI, IPQC, and final QC.

The position requires a diploma in mechanical/manufacturing engineering and at least two years of CMM experience, with ZEISS Calypso as a plus. You will contribute to process improvements, generate inspection reports, and support production in resolving dimensional issues while maintaining quality

Qualifications

• Diploma or polytechnic in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience operating CMMs; ZEISS Calypso knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Basic knowledge of ISO quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform stylus calibration and set up CMM before measurement.
• Run CMM inspections for FAI, IPQC, and Final QC per planning and ensure efficient machine utilization.
• Generate and verify CMM measurement reports.
• Provide feedback to CMM programmers on measurement or program-related issues.
• Guide and monitor junior staff to ensure inspection accuracy and procedure compliance.
• Conduct 5S activities and routine machine maintenance.
• Interpret engineering drawings including GD&T requirements.
• Support production in troubleshooting dimensional issues.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure compliance with quality standards.
