Job summary

Axiom Technologies in Malaysia seeks a capable Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site and on-call end-user support within the corporate IT environment. The role covers hardware, software, and network related issues to ensure timely service delivery.

You will install operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux), manage user accounts, assist with onboarding/offboarding, and collaborate with IT teams on escalations while following security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in desktop support, helpdesk, or IT technician role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Zendesk, or JIRA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st- and 2nd-level desktop support for devices.
• Respond to service requests via ticketing system, phone, or in person.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Set up new employee workstations with accounts and permissions.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation of IT equipment.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding from a technical perspective.
• Support remote users with VPN and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams on escalated or project-related tasks.
• Follow security protocols and assist with antivirus, patching, and data protection policies.
