Job summary

Master Jaya Corporation is seeking a qualified engineer to design, develop and improve air pollution control and ventilation systems. You will handle calculations, sizing, and technical documentation while collaborating with Sales, Project, Production, Procurement, Installation, and Service teams.

The role requires site visits, reporting, and active participation in testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel to project sites and client meetings will be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience in APCS and related systems.
• Experience in air handling projects, industrial manufacturing, process industries.
• Knowledge of APCS, Dust Collection, LEV, Industrial Exhaust Systems, and Ventilation Systems.
• Familiarity with engineering design calculations, technical specifications, and project engineering activities.
• Good communication, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve APCS and filtration systems.
• Prepare and maintain engineering calculations, design templates, sizing sheets, and databases.
• Develop pressure loss, airflow, fan selection, and duct sizing calculations.
• Conduct site visits with Sales and Project teams to assess requirements.
• Provide engineering support to Sales, Project, Production, Procurement, Installation, and Service teams.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and customer presentations.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
• Prepare technical reports, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Continuously improve engineering processes and standards.
• Travel to project sites for support and meetings.

• Design, develop, and improve Air Pollution Control Systems (APCS) and filtration Systems for various industries.
• Prepare and maintain standard engineering calculations, design templates, sizing sheets, technical forms, and engineering databases.
• Develop and maintain pressure loss calculations, airflow calculations, fan selection criteria, and duct sizing calculations.
• Conduct research and development (R&D) activities to improve system performance, reliability, manufacturability, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain standard designs, specifications, and engineering guidelines for air handling and pollution control systems.
• Conduct site visits with Sales and Project teams to assess customer requirements, process conditions, and installation constraints.
• Collect site measurements, photographs, videos, and technical information for design and proposal development.
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend optimum engineering solutions that meet operational, environmental, and budget objectives.
• Review and Verify all equipment layouts and drawings including fabrication drawings, ducting and installation drawings to ensure technical accuracy and practicality.
• Provide engineering support to Sales, Project, Production, Procurement, Installation, and Service teams.
• Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, design reviews, and customer presentations when required.
• Support system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification activities.
• Investigate technical issues, customer complaints, equipment failures, and non-conformities.
• Prepare technical reports, root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and improvement recommendations.
• Continuously improve engineering processes, design standards, installation methods, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Provide technical design guidance, engineering training, and knowledge-sharing sessions to employees and customers.
• Prepare technical manuals, engineering procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical presentations.
• Keep updated with industry standards, emerging technologies, environmental regulations, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and engineering practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Other Attributes & Pre-requisites :

• 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience in engineering design, project engineering, or technical support related to Air Pollution Control Systems, filtration system, LEV, Industrial Exhaust Systems, and Ventilation Systems.
• Experience in air handling projects, industrial manufacturing, process industries and environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of Air Pollution Control Systems, Dust Collection Systems, LEV, Industrial Exhaust Systems, and Ventilation Systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering design calculations, technical specifications, and project engineering activities.
• Good communication, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated, independent, and result-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving, multi-project handling and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Creative and innovative with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing to travel and outstation for project support, and customer meetings.
• Physically fit and able to work at industrial sites when required.
• Honest, responsible, accountable, and committed to delivering quality work.
