Job summary

TERA VA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Design Engineer to support site visits, project design, and BOM preparation for solar EPCC projects in Malaysia.

You will coordinate with Business Development and Project Engineers, ensure designs meet standards, justify choices, and deliver drawings and BOMs on time using AutoCAD, Helios, PVsyst and MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in solar PV design or related engineering work.
• Experience in C&I and/or LSS solar projects is required.
• Experience in preparing project management documentation.
• Knowledge of system documentation software and tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, AutoCAD, Helios, PVsyst.

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits with Business Development & Project Engineer upon order intake.
• Carry out project design and BOM list detailing.
• Ensure design is correct, cost efficient, and justified.
• Ensure design and drawings meet relevant standards and are delivered on time.
• Finalize accurate BOM quantities and obtain subcontractor cost comparisons.
• Attend Kick Off Meetings and coordinate with Purchaser on BOM, models, and quantities.

Job description

To perform Site visit with Business Development & Project Engineer upon order intake.

To carry out Project Design and itinerary detail Bill of Material (BOM) List.

To ensure design is correct and cost efficient.

To ensure design come with justification.

To ensure design comply to relevant standard.

To ensure design and drawing is delivered on time.

To finalize accurate BOM List Quantity.

Obtain proposed subcon company and compared cost from Project Engineer.

Meet and discuss with Business Development & Project Engineer on the Engineering Design, finalize and ensure all scopes & details are covered/ included.

Attend Kick Off Meeting and notify Purchaser (F & A) on solar panels & inverters model & quantity; BOM List Quantity and Subcon Cost for purchase planning during KOM.

To perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

At least 2 years of experience in solar PV design or related engineering work.

Experience in C&I and/or LSS solar projects is required.

Experience in preparing project management documentation.

Knowledge and experience in preparing system related documentation Software & Tools: MS Word, MS Excel MS Visio, AUTOCAD, Helios, PVsyst or equivalent.

At least Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering.

Experience & understanding of Health, Safety and Occupational (HSO) will be added advantage.

Must be able to meet work deadlines as per required.

Ability to start work immediately / within short notice period would be added advantage.
