Job summary

YTL Construction in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Architect to assist the Lead/Senior architects with design issues and developing schematic proposals for developments. You will design, check and calculate architectural matters, supervise drawings from drafters and prepare specifications and client presentations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM is required, with BEM registration and at least three years’ experience. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in architectural design and layout of infrastructure or building construction, with minimum 1 year of consultancy experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and Microsoft Project.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead/Senior/Project Architect in resolving architectural design issues.
• Construct schematic design proposals for the development.
• Design, check and calculate all assigned architectural matters.
• Supervise and examine design drawings produced by draughtsmen and assist senior team members with the analysis of information, production of designs and computations.
• Assist in preparing specifications, proposals and other documentation under close supervision along with applying a variety of standard methods and techniques in solving problems to complete the tasks.
• Accountable for submitting high-quality work accurately including routine letters, reports, standard documentation, presentations, etc.
• Accountable for providing all information in an articulate and organised manner within the agreed timeframe.
• Complete the BIM model training successfully.
• Execute and monitor plans and systems related to design and ISO.
• Perform visual presentation and illustration to the clients.
• Prepare, develop, review and modify the presentation, 3D modelling and architectural drawings.
• Ensure the design is in compliance with the standard code of practice.
• Ensure the BIM model achieves minimum accuracy for quantity take-off.
• Source and prepare required materials for the presentation.

To be successful for the role:
