Howdy Café in Kedah is seeking a Demi Chef to join our kitchen team, focusing on Western–Asian fusion cuisine. The ideal candidate is hands-on, passionate about food, and able to maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced café environment.

You will assist the Chef in daily operations, prepare and cook dishes to established recipes and presentation standards, and handle a variety of Western and Asian fusion dishes while ensuring hygiene and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Handle a variety of Western and Asian fusion dishes.
• Ensure food is prepared consistently in terms of taste, quality, portion, and presentation.
• Assist with all prep work, including cutting, marinating, portioning, and preparation of ingredients.
• Monitor ingredient freshness, stock levels, and minimize food wastage.
• Assist with receiving and proper storage of ingredients.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and sanitation.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Support the kitchen team during peak hours and ensure food orders are prepared within the required service time.
