Job summary

EXO Travel Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Database Officer to join our Kuching, Sarawak team. This full-time role focuses on managing, maintaining and optimising our database infrastructure to support secure, high-performing operations.

You will input and maintain supplier rates and descriptions in Tourplan, perform quality checks, review contracts, troubleshoot data issues, and coordinate with Product for content updates. Excellent English and meticulous, systematic work are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Tourism or related field.
• Strong computing skills and data literacy.
• Experience with TOURPLAN or similar software is an advantage.
• Software system management background is a plus.
• Knowledge of travel business and destination tourism.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry & Maintenance: input and update supplier rates, descriptions, and contracts in Tourplan.
• Quality Control: audit data for naming, pricing formulas, and descriptions across Malaysia.
• Contract Management: review supplier contracts for surcharges, black-out dates, and cancellation policies.
• Troubleshooting: assist Sales and Reservations with pricing discrepancies and system errors.
• Content Support: coordinate with Product to upload images and descriptions for online platforms.
• Supplier Relations: occasionally contact suppliers to confirm details or request updates.

About the role

EXO Travel Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Database Officer to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing, maintaining and optimising our database infrastructure. As Database Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, performance and integrity of our databases, which are fundamental to our business operations. This role is essential to supporting our company's data management capabilities and enabling seamless business continuity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Data Entry & Maintenance: Accurately input and update supplier rates, descriptions, and contract conditions into the Tourplan database.

Quality Control: Audit existing data to ensure consistency in naming conventions, pricing formulas, and descriptions across all regions of Malaysia.

Contract Management: Review supplier contracts (hotels, transport, excursions) to ensure all terms—such as surcharges, black‑out dates, and cancellation policies—are correctly reflected.

Troubleshooting: Assist the Sales and Reservations teams by investigating and resolving any pricing discrepancies or system errors.

Content Support: Coordinate with the Product team to upload high-quality images and engaging descriptions for our online booking platforms.

Supplier Relations: Occasionally communicate with suppliers to clarify contract details or request updated information.

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Tourism or related field.

Strong computing skills.Previous experience in using TOURPLAN software or similaris an advantage.

Experience in software system management background would be an advantage.

General knowledge about Travel Business and tourism in destination.

Excellent spoken and written English
