Job summary

Nielsen is seeking a Data Processing Coordinator in Malaysia to ensure accurate, timely, and secure handling of operational data. You will follow defined procedures, monitor data quality, and support panel operations and digital data processing with internal stakeholders.

You will act as a main contact for research participants, assist with communications, translations, and web content, and work with global teams to improve data collection and processing while upholding compliance and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, STPM, certificate, diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in operations, data entry, administrative, or business support roles.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is a must; Other local language skills preferred.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, Google Suite, and database applications.
• Willingness to learn Nielsen systems, data definitions, quality standards, and repeatable operational processes and maintain high data accuracy and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy mindset, and basic problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for Mobile/Online research panels through email, phone, and other communication tools.
• Act as the primary point of contact for research participants, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of panelist communications, including emails, translations, and web content.
• Identify and elevate process improvement opportunities and potential risks related to panel management.
• Ensure compliance with market and legal requirements for panel operations.
• Work closely with local and international teams to ensure smooth panel operations.
• Support digital audience measurement by monitoring panel data for unexpected changes and escalating issues when necessary.
• Assist in analyzing digital data trends to ensure accuracy and consistency in research outputs.
• Work with global teams to implement improvements in digital data collection and processing.
• Understand and apply digital metering technology to enhance audience measurement processes (training provided).

Job Description

The Data Processing Coordinator supports the accurate, timely and secure processing, validation and delivery of operational data. The role follows defined procedures, monitors data quality, resolves routine data issues, maintains complete records and collaborates with Operations and internal stakeholders to meet service-level and client requirements.
