Job summary

Nielsen in Malaysia is seeking a Data Processing Coordinator to ensure accurate, timely, and secure handling of operational data. You will follow defined procedures, monitor data quality and collaborate with Operations to meet client requirements.

Your role involves supporting panel operations and communications, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with market and legal standards, while engaging with global teams and learning Nielsen systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: SPM/STPM/certificate/diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of relevant operations, data entry or administrative experience.
• Proficient English and Malay (written and spoken).
• Proficient with email, spreadsheets, word processing and common digital tools.
• Willingness to learn Nielsen systems and maintain data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Panel Operations & Participant Engagement: daily support for mobile/online panels via email, phone and other tools.
• Primary contact for research participants, ensuring high-quality service.
• Assist in panelist communications, including emails, translations and web content.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and mitigate risks in panel management.
• Ensure compliance with market and legal requirements for panel operations.
• Collaborate with local and international teams to ensure smooth panel operations.
• Digital Media Operations & Data Quality Management: monitor panel data for changes and escalate issues as needed.
• Analyze digital data trends to ensure accuracy in research outputs.
• Work with global teams to improve digital data collection and processing.
• Apply digital metering concepts to enhance audience measurement (training provided).

Job Description

The Data Processing Coordinator supports the accurate, timely and secure processing, validation and delivery of operational data. The role follows defined procedures, monitors data quality, resolves routine data issues, maintains complete records and collaborates with Operations and internal stakeholders to meet service-level and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Panel Operations & Participant Engagement: Provide daily support for Mobile/Online research panels through email, phone, and other communication tools.


• Act as the primary point of contact for research participants, ensuring a high level of customer service.


• Assist in the development and enhancement of panelist communications, including emails, translations, and web content.


• Identify and elevate process improvement opportunities and potential risks related to panel management.


• Ensure compliance with market and legal requirements for panel operations.


• Work closely with local and international teams to ensure smooth panel operations.


• Digital Media Operations & Data Quality Management:


• Support digital audience measurement by monitoring panel data for unexpected changes and escalating issues when necessary.


• Assist in analyzing digital data trends to ensure accuracy and consistency in research outputs.


• Work with global teams to implement improvements in digital data collection and processing.


• Understand and apply digital metering technology to enhance audience measurement processes (training provided).

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, STPM, certificate, diploma, or an equivalent qualification.


• 0–1 year of relevant experience in operations, data entry, administrative, or business support roles.


• Basic proficiency in written and spoken English and Malay.


• Computer literacy with proficiency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, Google Suite, and database applications.


• Willingness to learn Nielsen systems, data definitions, quality standards, and repeatable operational processes and maintain high data accuracy and quality standards.


• Strong attention to detail, accuracy mindset, and basic problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and follow procedures.
