Job summary

NTT DATA Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L2) to manage day-to-day cloud and virtualization operations. You will support VMware vSphere/VCF, NSX, and related infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and compliance in a hybrid working environment.

The role emphasizes incident management, change control and continuous improvement, with engagement across application, network and security teams. 2–3 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization or cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise production environments.
• Experience working in an ITIL/SLA-driven operational environment.
• Experience with incident, problem and change management.
• Experience supporting 24×7 environments or on-call operations is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Operate and support enterprise cloud infrastructure, including VMware vSphere/VCF, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN and NSX.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, capacity and service health; respond to alerts within SLA.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage and virtualization issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Work with network and security teams on infrastructure changes and incident resolution.
• Execute infrastructure changes per change-management procedures; perform patching and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational activities and improve monitoring.
