Job summary

Hirehub Group in Malaysia is seeking a results-driven sales engineer to develop new business opportunities within data centers, M&E, and critical infrastructure. You will build long-term relationships with data center owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and partners, promoting testing, commissioning, UPS, and HVAC solutions while managing opportunities from planning through contract award.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering, Business or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering sales or business development.
• Experience in data centers, M&E, electrical testing & commissioning, UPS/critical power, switchgear, transformers, busbars, HVAC/cooling, generators, load banks or data center O&M is advantageous.
• Existing industry contacts with data center owners, main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants or equipment vendors are highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia for meetings and business development.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and customers within data center, M&E and critical infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with data center owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers and industry partners.
• Promote engineering solutions including testing & commissioning, electrical systems, UPS, critical power, HVAC/cooling and data center O&M.
• Identify upcoming projects and manage opportunities from planning to tender, quotation, negotiation and contract award.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations and technical discussions.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer databases and project opportunity reports.
• Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Work closely with Malaysia and regional teams to achieve sales targets.
