Job summary

Hirehub Group is seeking a driven sales professional in Malaysia to develop new business opportunities within data centers and critical infrastructure. You will build and maintain relationships with data center owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and regional partners, promoting testing, commissioning, UPS, HVAC, and O&M solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering sales, or business development.
• Experience in data centers, M&E, electrical testing & commissioning, UPS/critical power, switchgear, transformers, busbars, HVAC/cooling, generators, load banks, or data center O&M is advantageous.
• Existing industry contacts with data center owners, main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants, or equipment vendors are highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and customers within data center, M&E, and critical infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with data center owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Promote engineering solutions including testing & commissioning, electrical systems, UPS, critical power, HVAC/cooling, load bank testing, and data center O&M.
• Identify upcoming projects and manage opportunities from planning to tender, quotation, negotiation, and contract award.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to develop technical and commercial proposals for customer requirements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and tender submissions.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer databases, and project opportunity reports.
• Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Work with Malaysia and regional teams to achieve sales targets.

With expanding operations across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, the company supports major data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

Job Description (JD):

• Develop new business opportunities and customers within the data center, M&E, and critical infrastructure sectors.

• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with engineering teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.

• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer databases, and project opportunity reports.

• Work closely with Malaysia and regional teams to achieve sales targets.

Job Requirements (JR):

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with new customer acquisition.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia for customer meetings and business development.
• Strong industry connections and network within the data center sector are highly encouraged.
