Job summary

Oracle Malaysia is seeking a Data Center Site Lead who will be the main accountable owner for all data center critical operations, coordinating with colo, DCFE, design, NW and security to ensure operational excellence and strict security standards.

You will lead governance reviews, manage incidents, changes and risks, oversee 24x7 coverage, drive handover from build to operations, mentor site technicians, and prepare regular reports on performance, security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Process discipline — Must have SOP/MOP/EOP/SOO, change control, incident review, problem management, risk register management, corrective/preventive actions, audit readiness, compliance tracking
• Technical expertise — Must have strong knowledge in at least one area: Mechanical systems, Electrical systems, TCS loop/liquid cooling, Project Management, Server & Network infrastructure, or Commissioning
• Data center security practices — Must have knowledge of security standards and coordination with Access Management, Security Systems, Colo, and stakeholders
• Business continuity and shift coverage — Must have understanding of 24x7 operations, backup coverage, cross-training, shift planning, weekend/holiday support, escalation management
• Colo and stakeholder governance — Must have ability to collaborate with colo providers and internal stakeholders, lead reviews, track actions, review performance
• Incident, change, problem, and risk management — Must have ability to lead incidents, changes, problems; identify risks and drive corrective actions
• Build-to-operations handover — Should have knowledge of build-to-operations handover, operational readiness review, site acceptance, as-built docs
• Team leadership and mentoring — Should be able to oversee and mentor data center technicians and engineers
• Reporting, audit, and compliance — Should be able to provide regular reports and audits on performance, security, risks, and readiness
• Liquid cooling / TCS loop exposure — Nice to have exposure to liquid cooling, TCS loop, GPU/high-density deployments

Responsibilities

• 4. Business continuity and shift coverage — Must have: Ensure 24x7 readiness, backup coverage, cross-training, shift planning, and escalation.
• 5. Colo and stakeholder governance — Must have: Lead reviews with colo and internal teams; track actions and performance.
• 6. Incident, change, problem, and risk management — Must have: Lead incidents/changes, drive corrective actions, mitigate risks.
• 7. Build-to-operations handover — Should have: Oversee handover from build to operations, readiness reviews, and documentation.
• 8. Team leadership and mentoring — Should have: Guide and mentor site technicians/engineers, promote ownership.
• 9. Reporting, audit, and compliance — Should have: Produce regular performance/security/compliance reports and actions.
• 10. Liquid cooling / TCS loop exposure — Good to have: Knowledge of cooling tech, high-density deployments.
